Discover How To Improve Self Esteem With These 3 Practical Steps!

Want to know how to improve self esteem? Being aware of having it is the first step towards boosting self esteem!

"What is self-esteem?" When we're talking about how to build self esteem, we're talking about how to build pride in yourself.

Note: Pride is not arrogance. To feel proud is to feel like you can handle challenges because you are prepared and willing to.

This is different than feeling that way because you're entitled to it - which is arrogance.

Let's start working on how to build self esteem by working on:

Let's look at how they can help you!

Understand it!

Feel like your lot in life is all there is? You're wrong. Everything in life changes - even how you feel about yourself.

Before boosting self esteem, understand that it's not fixed and that how to build self esteem in one area is not the same as building in another area of your life.

Where do you want to feel more pride about yourself? At your job? In your relationships? With respect to your body?

This is important to know because working hard on boosting self esteem in one area will not boost it in the other.

So if you think that working harder on your body will improve your self esteem with your relationships, it won't. It might help a little bit.

On the other hand, figuring out how to build self esteem in the area that's troubling you AND acting on it is THE surefire way towards feeling proud of yourself again!

"How do I know what's bothering me?"

Be honest with yourself and every time you're dealing with low self esteem, get our a notebook and write down what thoughts exactly are causing you to feel this way.

You can write: "I'm dealing with low self esteem because _________." and write down as many reasons as you can for what's bothering you.

Surround Yourself With it!

Once you know exactly what's troubling you, start surrounding yourself with the right books and high self esteem people.

On how to build self esteem I recommend reading Nathaniel Branden's books. I've personally read Honoring the Self' and it has transformed my life. Take the time to buy and read these books!

Note: If you're more of a fiction reader, then I suggest picking up Ayn Rand's books such as 'Atlas Shrugged'. It's a big book but well worth the read for understanding how to build self esteem!

Something else you can do is to find and meet people who have the level of self esteem you want . You can easily spot them - they're the ones who seem to accept themselves and who live accomplished lives.

Surely you have a successful uncle or acquaintance that you know! Keep your eyes peeled and people with high self esteem will come to you!

On that note stay away from low self esteem people! If they're your friends then I recommend breaking away gently! Understand that your self esteem is tied to that of the people around you!

Build it!

Self esteem isn't fixed. Once you know where you need to improve and have ordered a few books on it (if you're serious about solving it I recommend reading quality books about it!) the next thing you want to start doing is 'challenges'.

Note:I recommend 90 day challenges with an intensity you think you can handle (and not what you think you should handle.)

Have low self esteem at work? Be pro-active with your jobs' tasks! Have low self esteem in the bedroom?

Try a new fun technique and see how it goes! (check and see if your partner doesn't have low self esteem as well! Notice their language and behavior.)

Take little steps towards building self esteem and you will notice changes in yourself AND in how others treat you!

Summary!

All in all, knowing how to improve self esteem and doing what it takes to start boosting self esteem will move you along towards a more confident life.

If you read the books I recommend doing the exercises and feel good for daring to want to live a better life! Now let's do it! ;-)
