Uncover 5 Personal Self Improvement Pitfalls That Could Be Robbing You of Your Success!

Why choose personal self improvement? It's one of the surest ways to get what you want! But doing self improvement techniques after reading a couple of self improvement tips is not enough.

There are 5 major pitfalls that I see everyone (even myself) fall into whenever we are working on our personal development.

If you're a self improvement beginner or haven't been able to get the results you've been working so hard for then these invisible dangers might be the culprits.

They are:

Let's go into how exactly they might be holding you back so that you can have the confidence you need to get the results you want!

Personal Self Improvement Must Have Passion!

Think of one of your goals right now. Just let it sit in your mind for a while and imagine yourself living it. Feel inspired...effortlessly?

If you're forcing yourself to feel inspired or just don't have any passion for reaching your goal - then quit now. "Why?" When you're manifesting your goal from scratch one of the key ingredients is the desire to manifest it!

If you don't have it, you might work on your goal for a while... but you'll quit because of the workload. Might as well quit now and use the time to re-assess what it is you want instead!

If you're always working on your "goals" half-heartedly then this might be your problem too. Again I recommend stopping what you're doing and taking the time to unravel what it is you really and genuinely want!

Don't worry about how embarrassing, selfish, or condescending it might be (as long as other people indirectly benefit too.) If this is not your issue then read on!

Personal Self Improvement Must Have a Plan!

Why do you need to have a plan? Because even though they have the same goal, the franchise has a proven practical plan to work with...whereas most mom-and-pop restaurants are, for a lack of a better word, winging it.

Most people who work on personal self improvement don't have a plan. Or if they do it's a "Frankenstein of a plan" where they mix a few self improvement tips here with some random self improvement techniques there (the results are monstrous!) ;-)

How about just finding a proven plan that suits you and that has a solid track record? If you don't find one, then how about taking the time to make your own and being willing to tweak it as time goes on?

If you're always starting self improvement goals but keep getting nowhere fast then maybe it's time to find a proven plan and trying it out!

Just give it a month or two and if you aren't getting results, you can always go back to what you were doing before.

Personal Self Improvement Requires Resources!

Let's say you want to improve your health and body. It's going to cost you - both in time and money! How much money can you invest into this enterprise (and it is) for the food, gym costs, clothing, etc..?

How much time can you devote to this goal? If you want a clear picture of how much time you can use for this, feel free to read about the usefulness of SelfImprovedMe's time management chart by clicking on the link!

A major pitfall is jumping into reaching a goal without having the resources to make it happen (no matter how many self improvement tips you follow.)

Yes, resourcefulness is helpful but if you're starting out I recommend making sure your is as easy to reach as possible! Don't you agree?

Personal Self Improvement Must Have Action!

Let's say you have the passion to make a goal happen and a set plan, now it's time to take action! If you're always finding yourself buying and looking at new schemes and systems then it might time to stick to one and put it to action!

The biggest mistake that people make is acquiring solid self improvement tips and self improvement techniques but never working them!

If you seriously want to manifest your goals, understand that it takes heart, a plan, and good old-fashioned hard work!

By work I don't mean reading all the time either. I personally keep a reading-to-work ratio of 1/3. For every hour I read, I make sure I that apply the knowledge for 3 hours. This ratio works for me and maybe for you too - and if not, find a ratio that does!

Personal Self Improvement Takes Time!

One of the major pitfalls is believing in instant results. Anything of value takes time to build. Its sad that our societies make us believe that you can live an amazing life in a matter of minutes.

Winning the lottery doesn't work, and nor do those 'diet pills' replace solid self improvement techniques or self improvement tips. If you want to live a better life than you are now, you have to put in the work and wait for the results.

Think of yourself as a farmer who's growing an amazing harvest. It takes time and consistent effort to make it happen. It also takes faith because you won't see anything happen for a while.

This is the pitfall I fall into when I'm not paying attention (I'm not perfect either.) ;-) We just need to keep asking ourselves if what we want is worth being patient for - and if it isn't maybe we don't really want that goal in the first place.

My Conclusion on Personal Self Improvement

Again if you're beginning with self improvement I recommend looking at these common pitfalls and keeping them in mind.

If you're already using self improvement tips or self improvement techniques and are still stuck then I recommend finding which pitfall you're always falling into.

Understand that falling into these traps or being aware of them is part of the process. Whatever happens - keep going! ;-)
