Discover a Powerful Self Esteem Definition That Changes Lives!

"What's a solid self esteem definition that I can use?" Let's define self esteem as - Your genuine understanding that you are fit to choose life and to handle it's challenges.

For you to live more confidently in 90 days so that you can do what you've always wanted to do, we will define self esteem as having 3 practical parts:

Let's explain them one at a time!

Self-acceptance

'Self-acceptance' means accepting who and where you are in life.

This is about more than accepting your sexual orientation and nationality (even though for some that can be a challenge!) ;-)

It is about accepting your circumstances no matter how bad or embarrassing they are!

Understand that 'accepting' your circumstances is not the same as 'liking' them. In fact you can downright hate them but the first step is to tell yourself:

"Okay, I'm in this mess and I accept it."

You see, every time you deny your circumstances you're telling yourself that you can't deal with your situation so you might as well lie about it.

On the outside it might seem like nothing is happening - but it's really chipping at your self esteem. That's why the definition of self esteem starts with 'self-acceptance'.

Self-efficacy

'Self-efficacy' means believing that you are able enough to do a certain task. We define self esteem as having enough self efficacy for you to do what you want to do.

"What if I don't believe that I can do that task?"

Then you have low self-efficacy in that area and once you accept it you can then do something about it (like reading a practical book or finding a mentor who's done it!)

Sadly if you don't choose to first accept your shortcomings then you won't be able to build high self-esteem (that's why this definition of self esteem includes it.)

Self-respect

We define self esteem with self-respect because it if you don't respect yourself then in my experience you won't be able to build high self esteem.

You see, having self-respect is not just about you. It's also about your desires and ambitions.

It's about all those things that you want but are afraid of accepting because they might alienate you from your 'friends'.

Dare to be different.

Dare to be yourself.

Dare...period! ;-)

This Self Esteem Definition Creates a Practical Cycle!

For you to make the most out of this definition of self esteem I recommend working on one part at a time! I also recommend starting with self-acceptance.

You see, once you've accepted (without feeling entitled to) your dreams and shortcomings you can then build up your self-efficacy skills by reading about and practicing them.

In turn your skills will improve which will build your self-respect, which in turn affects your self-acceptance, etc...

I recommend building a 90 day plan and working in that time period. You can solve your time and goal-setting problems by signing up for our personal development magazine where you'll get the tools you need ($18 worth) for free!

All in all your ability to boost your self esteem is in your hands!
