Start Writing For Money Now! 3 Proven Ways To Make Money From Writing Online!
If you're looking at writing for money then good for you! We're living in the 'information age' where solid written content is in high demand! Know that if you want to make money from writing that there are many jobs in writing available.Let's go over the three main ways that you can make money from writing. You can:
- Find jobs in writing
- Write e-books (online books)
- Build a content-based website (SBI)
Let's look at the pros and cons of these three ways to make money from writing.
Option #1 - Jobs in Writing as a Freelancer
If you want to start writing for money A.S.A.P then looking for and doing jobs in writing might be your ideal choice.
You can start making money almost immediately with the right employer (as long as you know what you're writing about and how to write.)
You can find jobs in writing on websites such as E-lance or on Craigslist. You can sign up for an account and offer your writing services right after!
On the other hand, if you're looking for something that will free up your time so that you can more of what you want, this option might not be for you.
You see, if you take up jobs in writing, then you're tied to those jobs and you can only make money if you're writing.
Option #2 - Writing e-Books
This is one way that I make money from writing. Writing for money via e-books is a proven way to get income coming in as well. You first want to find want you can write about and see if there's a demand for it!
A useful way to see if there's a demand is to go to Clickbank and see on the 'Marketplace' section if there are people who are buying e-books based on what you want to write about.
Once you've found something worth writing about financially and that you enjoy making an e-book on then go for it!
Once you have a website and the ebook on it with a good salespage, you can literally leave it on auto-pilot and it will make money for you while you sleep!
The problem is that there's a sharp learning curve on writing an e-book and you also need to be more internet savvy. You'll have to either know about html (internet talk) or find someone who will make a website for you to put your e-book on.
Note: Yes there is also the fear of people illegally downloading your e-book but it's not as bad as we think. Nowadays only a small percentage of people know how to get pirated goods and the authorities are always tracking them down for theft.
Option #3 - Building a Money-making Content Website
This is my current (and favorite) way of writing for money. If you want something that will both make money while you sleep and that will still make money for you after 5 years then this might be for you.
The difference between making a website and writing an e-book with a site is that the website will have more than one way to make money for you - whereas the sales site is limited to the e-book.
Not only that, but the internet search engines (Google, Yahoo) prefer content websites over sales sites so you'll have them working with you!
Note: if the thought of writing for money with a website intimidates you - that's okay. I felt that way too even after writing an e-book!
I recommend using SBI as it will take you by the hand and give you the tools you need to make money from writing up a website.
On the other hand, if you need to make quick money then this option alone might not be enough.
You see, content websites are businesses where the focus is on building a solid money-making reputation rather than on the quick dollar.
If you want something that will feed your family tomorrow then this might not be for you.
On the other hand, if you want to free your time more and more so that you can spend it doing more meaningful things while having money coming in while you sleep then this might be for you.

All in all, there are many ways to make money from writing. The question now is 'what are you looking for' and 'what are you willing to do'.
You'll have to put in the work no matter where you go so that's also something you'll have to consider (you'll choose the pace.)
